SNOOK

Snook are the largemouth bass of the saltwater word. Both are structure orientated and feed along drop offs and banks with cover. They love mangrove roots close to deeper water. Like most big mouths - fish or people - they are aggressive brawlers.

Snook will try to break you off on the nearest root or limb. They also make head shaking jumps like fresh water bass. Snook eat shrimp and bait fish. Spin and baitcasters use live bait and plugs or jigs. Flies range from poppers to baitfish imitations.
